Celecoxib is a prescription medication used to treat pain and inflammation caused by disorders such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, and ankylohistogenic osteomyelitis. It can also be used to relieve headache, migraine, period pain, menstrual pain, back pain, and others.
Celecoxib is also used to reduce the symptoms of epilepsy and to relieve pain from a stroke or back surgery.
It's a selective cyclooxygenase 2 (COX-2) inhibitor. It lowers the amount of a hormone called prostaglandins, which are chemicals in the body that cause pain, swelling, and inflammation. This lowers inflammation and relieves pain and swelling.
It's thought that Celecoxib could work by blocking an enzyme in the body that produces prostaglandins. COX-2 inhibitors should be used with caution in patients with liver or kidney disease or those taking other medications that increase the risk for bleeding.
Celecoxib is not indicated for use in treating other uses. Consult your doctor before using this medication.
This medication does not increase the risk of lowering blood pressure. It's helpful for patients who have suffered a stroke, heart attack, or high blood pressure in the last 3 months.

If you’ve been prescribed Celebrex, you probably know it’s a drug that can help treat arthritis pain and other chronic conditions.
Celebrex, also known by the brand name Celebrex, is a prescription medication that is used to treat pain and other conditions related to arthritis, such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and juvenile rheumatoid arthritis.
However, the FDA has not approved Celebrex for these conditions. So if Celebrex isn’t right for you, there are ways you can help.
You can take Celebrex and take it as prescribed by your doctor. But there are also other ways you can help.
If you take Celebrex for the pain and inflammation you’ve been diagnosed with, you’ll probably know that it’s a pain reliever.
But if you take it as prescribed, you’ll probably know that Celebrex is a pain reliever.
Celebrex (celecoxib) is a widely used pain reliever and fever reducer. It relieves pain and reduces fever in people with osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, or ankylosing spondylitis. Celebrex can be taken with or without food to minimize stomach upset. However, people with osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, or ankylosing spondylitis may need dosage adjustments. For those who need to take celebrex with food, the recommended dosage is a single 200 mg capsule three times daily for three days. The maximum recommended dosing frequency is once per day, which may be adjusted by the doctor based on the patient’s medical condition.
If you take Celebrex at the same time of day as your regular doctor’s appointment, you may feel better or experience better pain relief, but you should not take the medicine in the same way as your regular doctor. This could make it difficult for your blood to clot in the lungs or cause side effects like nausea. Taking Celebrex with food may also cause stomach upset.
